1. "As-Is" and "As-Available" Provision
TUVAMBES FileForge is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. TUVAMBES Technologies and TUVAMBES Enterprises explicitly disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted execution.
2. Data Backup and Preservation Responsibility
Document and image processing operations (including binary PDF compression, redaction, visual cropping, splitting, merging, and metadata stripping) modify raw file contents. While FileForge algorithms are tested against industry standards:
- You retain sole and absolute responsibility for creating and verifying complete, unmodified backup copies of all original files before initiating batch processing.
- TUVAMBES Technologies is not liable for data corruption, file truncation, or accidental data loss resulting from power interruptions, hardware faults, or unexpected input file formatting.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TUVAMBES Technologies, TUVAMBES Enterprises, its founders, officers, employees, or software engineers be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of business profits, lost contracts, work stoppage, or lost data) arising out of the use or inability to use this software.
4. Not Statutory Legal, Tax, or Regulatory Certification
Similar to other in-house products from TUVAMBES Technologies (including TUVAMBES GeoCam and BATHVA CoreBooks), FileForge is a productivity software utility. OCR outputs, digital redacting, and document conversions do not constitute official statutory legal, forensic, or certified archival compliance certifications. Users are advised to verify critical statutory filings independently.
5. Third-Party Libraries
TUVAMBES FileForge incorporates established open-source components (including pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, and tesseract.js). Each respective library is governed by its corresponding open-source license (such as MIT or Apache 2.0).
