BATHVA CoreBooks is a local-first desktop accounting application by TUVAMBES Technologies (a division of TUVAMBES Enterprises). Your business data is stored on your own computer and is not collected by, transmitted to, or accessible to us.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the BATHVA CoreBooks Windows desktop application distributed by TUVAMBES Technologies, including copies obtained through the Microsoft Store or as a direct installer.
2. Data stored on your device
The following is stored locally on your machine and never leaves it unless you export it or use an optional feature in Section 3:
- Organisation profile, logo, bank accounts and UPI details
- Customers, vendors, items/services (incl. HSN/SAC, pricing, stock)
- Invoices, proformas, quotations, purchase orders, work orders, GRNs and vouchers
- Users, roles and permissions — passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt)
- Application settings, PDF templates and audit logs
Storage location: the Windows per-user application-data folder (%APPDATA%), using an
embedded SQLite database by default. If you enable the optional MySQL engine, its credentials are
encrypted at rest (AES-256-CBC). We, the publisher, have no access to this data.
3. Optional features that contact third parties
These features are off by default and only send data when you actively use them. Data goes directly from your device to the third party — it does not pass through TUVAMBES servers.

You are responsible for the privacy terms of any gateway you configure. The app works fully offline without any of the above.
4. What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics, usage telemetry, crash reports or advertising identifiers.
- We do not transmit your business data to TUVAMBES servers.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
- We do not require an online account to use the application.
5. Licensing & purchases
License keys are validated locally using HMAC-SHA256; licensing does not transmit your accounting/business data.
- Microsoft Store (annual subscription): Microsoft processes the transaction and manages the subscription under Microsoft’s own privacy terms; we do not receive your payment details.
- Direct licence (per machine): to generate your activation key, the app shows a QR containing your organisation name and contact details (as you entered them) and a device fingerprint. This identifies the licence and the machine — it does not contain your invoices, customers or financial records. You share it with us only to obtain or re-issue a key.
6. Children’s privacy
BATHVA CoreBooks is business accounting software intended for adult professionals. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Data retention & deletion
Because data is stored locally, you control retention. You can delete records in-app, take backups (Settings → Backup & Restore), or uninstall the application. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data folder.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; database/MySQL credentials are encrypted with AES-256-CBC on disk. Because the data lives on your device, its overall security also depends on your own device security (OS account protection, disk encryption and backups).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
