These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“Terms” or “Agreement”) constitute the legally binding agreement between you and TUVAMBES Technologies (a division of TUVAMBES Enterprises) for your download, installation, and use of the software application and related services. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
1. Licence grant
Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for your own business or personal accounting purposes. Ownership of the Software remains with TUVAMBES Technologies.
2. How the Software is licensed
BATHVA CoreBooks is offered through two channels; the terms of your purchase depend on where you got it.
- Microsoft Store (individual): an annual subscription managed by Microsoft. Your access continues while the subscription is active; Microsoft handles billing, renewals and cancellation. This edition runs standalone on a single machine (SQLite).
- Direct licence (per machine): a licence purchased directly from TUVAMBES and
activated on a specific machine via the in-app activation key. Offered as:
- Solo — one user on one machine;
- Business (multi-user) — seat-tiered: priced by the number of users who share a LAN/MySQL deployment (e.g. 2, 5, 10, 25 seats);
- Enterprise — custom volume licensing for larger or multi-site deployments.
- Trial: a time-limited evaluation licence provided “as is” to evaluate the Software before you buy.
“Lifetime” means for the supported lifetime of the product version line purchased; it does not guarantee future major versions, indefinite compatibility, or support beyond what is stated at purchase. Prices published on our website are suggested/indicative and may change; the price confirmed at purchase applies.
2a. Activation & seats (direct licences)
Direct licences are activated per machine using a device fingerprint and the key you are issued. You may not exceed the number of seats purchased, share keys beyond your licensed seats, or circumvent activation. To move a licence to a replacement machine, contact us to re-issue the key.
3. Acceptable use & restrictions
You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software except to the extent the law expressly permits; (b) resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the Software; (c) remove or alter proprietary notices; (d) use the Software for any unlawful purpose or to violate any tax, financial or data-protection law applicable to you.
4. Your data & responsibility
The Software is local-first; your data is stored on your device (see our Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for your data, for taking regular backups, and for the accuracy and legal compliance of the documents and filings you produce with the Software.
5. Accounting & tax disclaimer
The Software is a tool that assists with bookkeeping, invoicing and GST-related documents. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, audit, legal or tax advice. We do not warrant that outputs meet every statutory requirement applicable to you. You are responsible for verifying calculations, tax rates, and the correctness and timeliness of your GST and other statutory filings. See the full Disclaimer.
6. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TUVAMBES Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Software. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
This licence terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Your data remains on your device and under your control.
9. Updates
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Store-distributed copies are updated through the Microsoft Store. We are not obliged to provide updates or support beyond what is stated at purchase.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
